The Smurf runs at full speed, legs moving, arms stretched back in the gesture of racing pushed to its maximum. Peyo drew this gag several times: the Smurf who runs so fast that his body is in front of his legs. The painted metal recreates this acceleration posture with the legs in a forward position and the torso leaning.
The dynamic running posture is one of the most difficult to balance in heavy metal: the center of gravity is forward, and the figurine must stand on two or three points of support without a too bulky base.
