Pixi Smurf with spring, 1,000 copies 2012: the metal mechanism
The spring is integrated into the composition like a real metal element: the spiral visible between the Smurf's body and its base, or between two parts of the figurine. Pixi worked the spring as a separately assembled accessory, with its tension visible in the coiled form. The Smurf's pose takes the spring into account: he bounces, he is thrown, he is propelled.
It's one of the most technical compositions of the first wave: integrating a mechanical metal element into a collectible figurine without it looking like a gadget.

1000 numbered copies in November 2012, red box and certificate. The spring is the most unusual accessory of the first wave.
