The Citroën 5CV is reproduced at 1/12 scale with the details of a 1920s automobile in their reality: gray bodywork with leather hood, individually assembled spoked wheels, dashboard with its dials, interior upholstery treated separately from the chassis. At this scale, the paint job covers areas that allow the color variations between the bodywork, upholstery and chrome parts to be seen.

The simulated leather hood is the most delicate element of the piece: the resin is textured to reproduce the grain of the leather, then painted black-brown with variations in shine that distinguish the folds from the flat surfaces. The spoked wheels turn.

Limited edition of 1,250 numbered copies

Hergé designed this 5CV with the precision of a vintage car enthusiast. Its presence in the albums dates the scenes as surely as a photograph. The mintage of 1,250 copies is listed on the certificate of each piece.
