Séraphin Lampion of the Imaginary Museum: the insurer on a forced journey

Lampion is represented with his suitcases, in the posture of someone who invites himself without being asked. Hergé endowed him with this absolute character trait: he always arrives at the wrong time with too much baggage, and no one can do anything about it. The hand-painted resin restores the round silhouette of the character, his sales representative costume, and the suitcases which are an integral part of his presence.

The face is that of someone who doubts nothing: full cheeks, permanent commercial smile, round glasses. Hergé never drew Lampion other than with this expression of impenetrable enthusiasm in the face of the exasperation of his hosts.

The most comically invasive character in the series

We don't get attached to Lampion, we endure him with Tintin and Haddock. His presence in an advanced Tintin collection is a mark of collusion: you must have read The Professor Calculus Affair or Flight 714 for Sydney to know what this character represents.
